Banana cannas (canna musifolia grande) for sale. Grown mostly for their foliage, and not flowers, these maroon-stemmed impressive giant cannas with banana-like leaves bring a piece of tropics into your yard or garden and make quite a statement! Reaching 12-18 feet in length in warmer climates, the 8-foot growth is only stopped by the shortness of the growing season in zone 5 (that is where I am located).

Sold and shipped as bare-root rhizomes with buds. Store rhizomes in a dark, cool and dry place for the winter. Plant in the spring in sunny locations. Dig out rhizomes in late fall, or mulch heavily, in zones 7 and below to keep the rhizomes from freezing.
